The Lofts at Ponemah Mills in the Taftville have been going through a thorough renovation as condos and high end apartments. The old mill is tucked along the shores of the Shetucket River and has been apart of the fabric of the old mill town since 1866. I was contracted by the Cheyenne Company of Bloomfield to capture photos and video of the new cupolas that stretch into the skyline marking the distinctive old mill. The Cheyenne Company has been committed to providing outstanding service and innovative low-maintenance composite fabrications for the building and restoration industry since 1964.

Luxury Living At Ponemah Mills
Cheyenne had asked me to provide them with photos of the two cupolas with a clean blue sky background, easier said then done since Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate. But this evening turned out perfect as the sunset over the hillside and highlighted their brightly trimmed handiwork. I knew the evening would be the best time to shoot as the front of the building faces West.
I had been to this property in the past when I was a staff photojournalist at the Hartford Courant. We did feature profile on one of the Connecticut Sun WNBA players. The players and coaches live in the complex during the regular season and many of them move back to their home towns during the off season.
